Treating the cause, not the symptoms

Chiropractic is a primary health-care profession that specialises in the diagnosis, treatment and overall management of conditions that are due to problems with the joints, ligaments, tendons and nerves of the body, particularly those of the spine.

Treatment consists of a wide range of manipulative techniques designed to improve the function of the joints, relieving pain and muscle spasm. Chiropractic is an effective form of care for back and neck pain, as well as a range of other conditions including shoulder, leg and arm pain, and sports injuries.  You may also see an improvement in some types of asthma, headaches, including migraine, and infant colic.

Chiropractic does not involve the use of any drugs or surgery

Chiropractic is at present unfortunately an unregulated profession. The Chiropractic Association of Ireland (CAI) however, provides a regulatory framework for the chiropractic profession in Ireland and promotes better health and well-being for the Irish public through the safe and effective delivery of chiropractic services. All CAI chiropractors will have undergone a minimum four-year full-time internationally-accredited undergraduate course.
